About the artists: Lucy Correa is an artist of spiritual themes, and, what she terms, a "poet of color." She was commissioned in 2003 by the mayor of Medellin, Colombia, to create a bronze sculpture. A reproduction of this sculpture, titled "Offering of Peace," will be on display at the exhibit. Doris Ramos is an internationally known Venezuelan artist, painting portraits of world leaders and celebrities, as well as ethnic and surrealistic themes. Lidia Dick has studied at the University of Art La Esmeralda, as well as in Thailand, Laos and China. Her work incorporates many life experiences in a surreal manner. Mariela Lacouture has participated in numerous art exhibitions, including the "45th Founders Juried Awards Exhibition" at the von Liebig Art Center.
