Hodges University has announced the promotion of Wendy Gehring to Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.
“Wendy has demonstrated over the years her commitment to providing the students, faculty, and staff with the best possible IT support available,” said HU President Dr. Jeanette Brock. “Wendy is a team player and has the ability to make important decisions that are in the best interest of the University.”
Ms. Gehring succeeds Dave Rice as Vice President of Information Technology. Rice has been named Vice President of Facilities and Special Projects. In addition to planning, directing, and overseeing the operational activities of the institution’s two campus locations, he will also assist University Advancement with community outreach and fundraising initiatives in support of scholarship initiatives. Rice also assumes the responsibility as Director of the Fort Myers Campus.
Gehring has been with Hodges University since 2000. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology and a master’s degree in Information Systems Management, both from Hodges.
