International College is gearing up for its third annual Spring Golf Classic. The two-day event, sponsored by First Community Bank, begins April 19th with a Dinner Gala, followed by the Tournament on April 20th. Both events will be hosted at Pelican Preserve Country Club in Ft. Myers. Proceeds from the event, hosted by Honorary Chairman, Tom Horton, President of Palm Printing Strategic Solutions, will benefit the College’s business campaign.
For the first time, the Tournament will feature a 27-hole challenge, providing a new twist to the event. “For the avid golfer, this will be an exceptional tournament,” said Thad Gentleman, Tournament Chair. “Unlike a regular 18-hole tournament, this event will feature a one best ball of a foursome on the Ibis nine, two best balls of a foursome on the Heron nine, and a scramble on the Egret nine.”
The course at Pelican Preserve in Ft. Myers is certified as an Audubon International Signature Cooperative Sanctuary, and was designed by Chip Powell.
Other sponsors for the event include Val Ward Cadillac, Workforce Development, Oswald Trippe, Best Buy, Chico’s, Embarq, Fifth Third Bank, Palm Printing Strategic Solutions, and Paul Sands – V.I.P. Commercial.
