Center for Lifelong Learning at Hodges to host free charitable giving seminar

The Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning at Hodges University will host a series of economic-related sessions during February and March. The next session, “Leaving a Legacy, Understanding Charitable Giving,” will be held on February 23, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Hodges University Naples Campus, 2655 Northbrooke Drive.

Participants will learn the tax benefits and limitations of charitable giving, the most frequently used charity giving techniques and strategies, the use of donor advised fund, the difference between restricted vs. non-restricted charitable gifts, the importance of gifting agreements for large donations, and which assets to use when making a charitable gift.
