The Hodges University Johnson School of Business Advisory Board has appointed Angela Cooley as its new chairperson. She succeeds Sally Jackson of Lee Memorial who had been chair since 2009. Cooley serves as a tax and business consulting manager with Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida.
Also joining the Advisory Board is Ft. Myers Police Chief Douglas E. Baker. Baker is a graduate of both the Bachelor of Science in Management and the Master of Science in Management programs at Hodges University. In 2010, Baker was awarded the Hodges University Founders Award, an honor annually conferred upon a Hodges graduate who has provided outstanding and distinguished service to the community.
“These are two key appointments for the Johnson School of Business Advisory Board,” said Dean Nancey Wyant. “Angela Cooley’s CPA background helps fill a need on the board to help with oversight of accounting programs, and brings a practitioner’s perspective to our deliberations.
“Chief Baker brings an extensive background in management, public administration, community service, and law enforcement to our board. His qualifications will add important industry and student perspectives to our work from an individual who has distinguished himself in his work, his education, and his community,” said Wyant.
