The Veterans Services Center at Hodges University will hold its third annual Veterans Fair on June 14, at its Fort Myers campus, 4501 Colonial Boulevard, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event is open to all veterans, including active duty military personnel, National Guard and reservists, as well as post 9/11 veterans and their family members. There is no charge to attend.
Guests will be able to meet with representatives from Federal, state, & local government agencies, employers hiring veterans, local businesses that support the military and veteran services organizations. GI Bill educational benefits information will be available as well.
Currently, over 260 Hodges University students are veteran heroes who placed their lives on hold to protect our freedom while serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the world. Hodges University is also home to American Legion Post 397, the nation’s first student-run Post to be located on a college campus.
Hodges wishes to reach out to the local business community for help in providing information, services, and career opportunities to the veterans in our community. Any local business wishing to take part in the event is urged to call Lee Smith, Director of Veterans Services, at (239) 938-7833.
