The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Michael Pelland the student of the month for September. According to nominating professor Tom Hoffman, Pelland is a hard working student. “He has set a standard of submitting only the finest effort in his assignments and he lives up to that standard each and every time,” said Hoffman. “His effort is so obvious that he is readily acknowledged by everyone in the class as one of our best students. Additionally, Michael is a class leader and is well liked by his peers. He participates fully in class, positively challenging students and faculty alike with insightful questions and commentary,” he said.
Professor Hoffman also recognizes Pelland as an adult student role model. “His former experience in the Navy Submarine Service, and past professional background as funeral director and entrepreneur is evident in his performance in class,” said Hoffman.
Michael will receive a recognition certificate and a gift certificate to the Hodges bookstore. Congratulations, Michael! We are proud of your academic success.
