New Construction Management Courses Added at International College
International College’s construction management curriculum has two new courses that will start in September.
Construction Technology (BCM 3000) covers planning and physical development processes for residential and light construction projects. The course will emphasize layout, building materials and the installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Construction Estimating (BCM 3010) enables the student to gain fundamental knowledge of construction project estimating. The student will learn how a general contractor derives project cost before starting work and how the estimate fits into the overall construction process. There are many contractual methods in the construction process and the method selected can affect the estimating process.
International College’s construction management curriculum is offered on weeknights and Saturdays.
Both new courses will be taught by Ernest Spinelli, a licensed professional engineer and a Collier Building Industry Association education committee member.
