The Hispanic Institute at Hodges University will host a Small Business Workshop on December 5 from 10 am to 1 pm. The workshop will be held at the Naples campus of Hodges University, 2655 Northbrooke Drive in Naples. The event is co-sponsored by the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center of Florida Gulf Coast University.
According to Carmen Rey-Gomez, Director of the Hispanic Institute, there are many programs available to help small businesses make the right decisions on how to grow their companies. “We have a slate of panelists who will address many of the things that small businesses need to understand in order to succeed,” she said. “The topics discussed include information for new or expanding businesses in the localities within Collier County, small business lending, legal forms of business and small business counseling. We hope that business owners will take advantage of this workshop.”
The bilingual workshop will focus on the types of helpful programs available, how to access these programs, eligibility, program criteria, where to apply and how these programs might help a small business. The workshop is free but registration is required. For more information, please call (239) 938-7793.
