Robert W. Baird & Co. To Be Presenting Sponsor of Humanitarian Award

International College, a private, not-for-profit four-year college, is pleased to announce that Baird, an employee-owned, international wealth management, capital markets, asset management and private equity firm, is the first-ever presenting sponsor of the International College Humanitarian of the Year ceremony. The annual award luncheon is the college’s premiere event of the season. This year’s event takes place on Thursday, March 1st at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida.

The Humanitarian of the Year Award recognizes “human beings who are making a beneficial difference in the lives of other human beings.” This year’s honoree is Truly Nolen, Chairman and CEO of Truly Nolen of America, Inc. This is the 11th year in which International College has bestowed the award upon a local individual or individuals.

The sponsorship agreement between International College and Baird is a five-year partnership that matches two organizations with similar reputations and operational philosophies. Under the agreement, Baird, which has offices throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, becomes the first corporate partner to serve as the official named sponsor of the annual International College Humanitarian of the Year ceremony.

“We have contemplated a major sponsorship of the Humanitarian of the Year ceremony for several years but decided that we would only pursue an agreement if it was the right partner. We have an excellent partner in Baird,” said Dr. Louis J. Traina, Vice President, Institutional Advancement for International College. “Our partnership will allow us to work together to assure a strong future for this great event.”

“Baird is proud to be the first-ever presenting sponsor of the Humanitarian of the Year event,” said Mike Prioletti, Associate Branch Manager of Baird’s Naples office. “Baird is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Florida this year and has a longstanding tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. We are pleased to recognize the contributions of Truly Nolen and the generous community citizens honored before him. As an extension of our firm’s commitment to education, we also value and support the work of International College, which has a well-deserved reputation for excellence.”

The luncheon ceremony on March 1st begins with a reception at 11 a.m. Tickets cost $125 per person. For details, call 239-598-6159 or visit www.internationalcollege.edu.
