Hodges University announces new Deans

The Office of Student Development at Hodges University has announced the promotions of Dr. Marcia Brooks as Dean of Students and Dr. Micki Erickson as Dean of Counseling and Support Services. Dr. Brooks succeeds Dr. Ron Bowman who remains as Vice President of Student Development at Hodges. Dr. Brooks is only the second individual to hold the title of Dean of Students. The promotion follows her recent award of a doctorate degree from Nova Southwestern University. Dean Brooks has served previously as the Assistant Dean of Students and was also Student Development Coordinator.

Dr. Micki Erickson will assume the newly created administrative role of Dean of Counseling and Support Services. Dr. Erickson has been with Hodges University for over ten years heading the areas of Counseling, Career Development and Disability Services. This new position adds oversight of the Academic Achievement Services at the University as well.

“I am very proud and delighted that Hodges University is recognizing the hard work and dedication of Drs. Brooks and Erickson,” said Dr. Bowman. “They have truly earned these promotions and will provide additional strength and expertise to the administrative branch of the University.”
