Hodges University announced today that it has named longtime businessman Gary Trippe to its Foundation Board.
Gary Trippe was the co-founder of the Oswald, Trippe and Company insurance agency, managing director of BB&T-Oswald Trippe and company, and co-founder and director of Disabled Veteran’s Insurance Careers, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 2011.
“Gary has provided outstanding leadership not only for his business but also many worthwhile community organizations,” said Jerry Nichols, member of the Hodges Foundation and Senior Vice President for Brown & Brown Benefits. “In addition to his leadership, he has also provided significant financial support by sponsoring many community activities.”
During the past four decades, Mr. Trippe has held leadership positions in a variety of area organizations, including the Boy Scouts, Rotary Club and United Way of Lee County among others. He formed the Blue Chip Community Business Award in Southwest Florida. He is past chairman of the Lee County Public Schools Foundation, and past chairman of Hope Hospice.
The Hodges University Foundation Board also includes Randolph D. Brock III (Chairman), Barbara Burris (Vice Chairman), John W.
