Hodges University is gearing up for its Fifth Annual Spring Golf Classic. The event, sponsored by First Community Bank, will be held on Friday, April 24, at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Ft. Myers. One-hundred percent of the proceeds are dedicated to providing critical scholarship support for Hodges University students.
“We are thrilled that Fiddlesticks Country Club is the host facility for the tournament again this year,” said Phil Memoli, Director of Development at the University. “Play will be on both the Long Mean and Wee Friendly courses, each distinctively different, equally challenging, and yet breathtakingly beautiful. We feel truly honored that the residents of Fiddlesticks have dedicated their world-class facility for this very important scholarship event. We are so grateful for their tremendous support of Hodges University,” he said.
The famous Long Mean course at the club was named as one of Golf Digest Magazines’ Top 100 Golf Courses in the USA, and has hosted many PGA Tour pro’s such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Lee Trevino.
Following an afternoon of golf, hundreds of sponsors and supporters will attend a Mardi Gras-themed reception, gala dinner and live auction featuring fantastic vacation packages from around the world.
