The Center for Nonprofit Excellence at Hodges University will offer a session on strategic planning for nonprofits on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hodges Naples campus, 2655 Northbrooke Drive.
Strategic planning is a powerful process that can help nonprofits develop a shared vision for the future and a path forward to achieve that vision. This workshop will walk participants through the basic steps of the strategic planning process, with discussion on the variations that are commonly seen. The session will empower nonprofit leaders to return to their organizations with approaches to strategic planning that are specific to the needs of their unique circumstances.
Participants will explore what strategic planning is, who should be involved in strategic planning, the basic steps of strategic planning, scanning the internal and external environments, assessing the organization and much more.
The session will be conducted by Sheryl Soukup, President, Soukup Strategic Solutions. Ms. Soukup’s professional experience spans a wide range of industries and disciplines, with work in nonprofits, small business and corporate environments, including academic and scientific research, manufacturing, market research, retail, restaurants, catering, child care, rental housing, equestrian facility, community centers, churches, hospital and health clinics, schools and universities.
