The Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning at Hodges University will host a free lecture on staying connected with loved ones that are miles away. The lecture will be held on August 2, 2010, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Homewood Residence, 770 Goodlette Road and 7th Avenue, in the Commons in Naples.
Whether family lives an hour away or half a world away, there are many ways to stay connected and involved in their lives. Participants in this lecture will learn how to maintain closeness across the miles with children, grandchildren, and other special people in their lives. Topics will include establishing long-distance relationships, keeping in touch over time and adapting relationships as kids grow older. This class will help participants bridge the physical and generational gap that can come between family members. Participants will walk away with practical ideas and even a few supplies to get them started.
Conducting the session will be Christine Wheeler, Director for the Center for Lifelong Learning at Hodges University. Ms. Wheeler holds a Masters degree in Business Management from Hodges University.
The session is free of charge but reservations are required. For more information, please contact Christine Wheeler at (239) 598-6210.
