The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Mauricio Yabar Cerf the student of the month for February.
The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Mauricio was nominated for the award by Dr. Melinda Schneider, Accounting Chair at Hodges.
“Mauricio is not only an excellent student, but he helps out in Academic Achievement Services and assists fellow students in the accounting program,” said Dr. Schneider. “I believe Mauricio represents the leadership skills and integrity we would want all students of Hodges to exemplify. Mauricio also has recently taken on an accounting position with a local firm working on consolidations. He is now representing Hodges University in a real-world situation. We should all be proud of him and commend him for his efforts.”
As the student of the month, Mauricio will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for his portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
