The Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at Hodges University will host a free lecture featuring long distance cyclist Patty Huff. The lecture will be held at
the Barrington Terrace Learning Center, 5175 Tamiami Trail East, in Naples on Monday, July 9 from 1:00 pm to 2:30pm.
“Bicycling for the heart, mind and soul,” is the reason long distance cyclist Patty Huff gives for her love of the sport. For twelve years during the summer months she and her husband have traveled around this country and abroad. Their travels have taken them across the United States twice, around continental European countries twice and around the coast of Ireland. They have bicycled over 20,000 miles since they started this adventure which began with one question to her husband: “What have you always wanted to do but never got the chance?” His answer was that he wanted to ride a bicycle across the United States. Patty’s response was: “Well, I guess we need to buy some bicycles.”
