Hodges University has received two awards, including a gold award, in Higher Education Marketing Report’s 25th annual Educational Advertising Awards. The Award is the largest educational advertising competition in the nation. This year, over two thousand entries were received from more than one thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
Hodges received a gold award in the “Total Advertising Campaign” category, which reviewed all of the University’s marketing efforts, including print advertisements, radio and television commercials and marketing brochures and other materials. Hodges also won a silver award in the “Television Series” category. In both instances, the awards were presented to the University for its “Community Leaders” marketing campaign which featured local leaders who are graduates of Hodges University.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Educational Advertising Awards,” says Dr. Terry McMahan, President of Hodges University. “With all of the advertising messages that people are exposed to on a daily basis, it’s important to have something that stands out. Our marketing team felt that, since many of our graduates use their knowledge and skills to become leaders in our community, why not highlight a few of them. The materials that they developed were outstanding, and much of the credit goes to them for their insightful approach in showing future graduates and prospective students what is possible with an education from Hodges.”
Entries in the competition were judged on their ability to meet the needs of knowledgeable prospective students who are making their own educational decisions. Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of The Higher Education Marketing Report.
