The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Joel Canova the student of the month for June. The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Joel was nominated for the award by Dr. Albert Ball, Chair, Fisher School of Technology.
"Joel maintains a 4.0 GPA, has received his CIT.AS with Hodges and is currently working towards receiving his CIT.BS degree,” said Dr. Ball. “He is conscientious, resourceful and always willing to help his fellow students in class. Joel has recently begun volunteering for the Lee County School District, helping refurbish technology equipment. We believe Joel is the perfect candidate for this month’s student of the month.”
As the student of the month, Joel will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for his portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
