College Dedicates New Campus
International College will conduct a dedication ceremony for its new Fort Myers Campus at 11:00 a.m., October 21, 2005. United States Ambassador to Portugal Al Hoffman, the former President and CEO of Bonita Springs-based WCI Communities, will be keynote speaker at the event.
The ceremony will additionally include remarks by other local dignitaries and a special running of the torch, the International College emblem, by The Gulf Coast Runners Club.
Runners, passing the torch relay-style, will jaunt from International College’s former location at the Renaissance Center (off College Parkway in Fort Myers) to the new Fort Myers campus at 4501 Colonial Boulevard.
After arrival of the torch, the college will commence with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and a private V.I.P. luncheon.
A leader among the region’s higher education scene for 15 years, International College also has a main campus in Naples and learning centers throughout the state (including on the grounds of Edison College). With completion of their new campus, complemented by a three story, 60,000 square foot building, International is the first baccalaureate and master’s level college to establish within Fort Myers city limits.
