Hodges University announced today that Florida Representative Kathleen Passidomo (R-FL, District 76), will deliver the keynote speech at Hodges University’s 23rd Annual Commencement Ceremony, June 10, beginning at 4pm, at Germain Arena in Estero.
“Representative Passidomo has worked tirelessly for many years on improving the quality of life for the residents of our area, and I think that our graduates, who will also be giving back to the community with the skills they’ve received as students of Hodges, will learn a great deal from her insightful address,” said Hodges President Dr. Terry McMahan.
“As our graduates seek to make their own mark in our community, I’m certain they will be inspired by her story and her long-term dedication on behalf of the residents of our region of Florida.”
Rep. Passidomo, who also serves on the Hodges Board of Trustees, is a partner in the law firm Kelly, Passidomo & Alba LLP. Mrs. Passidomo is a Past President of the Collier County Bar Association and the founding Chairman of the Collier County Juvenile Justice Council. She also served as a Chairman of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women in 2006. She currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Collier County Foreclosure Task Force.
As a resident of Naples for over 30 years, Mrs. Passidomo has served in more than 60 leadership and membership roles in professional and community organizations. Included are such distinguished appointments as director of The Moorings, Inc.; vice chairman of the Education Foundation of Collier County’s Connect Now Initiative; founding member of the 20th Circuit Juvenile Justice Board; and chairman of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women.
A graduate of both Leadership Collier and Leadership Florida, her contributions have been recognized with countless awards; the Leadership Collier Distinguished Alumni Award and the Collier County Citizen of the Year Award, which she won together with her husband John, are just two examples.
The commencement ceremony will be held on June 10, beginning at 4 pm at Germain Arena in Estero. Hodges will confer degrees to over 600 graduates at the event. Additional information can be obtained by calling (239) 513-1122.
