Clinical Mental Health Counseling program receives full national accreditation

The Board of Directors of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) has granted Hodges University accreditation for its Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program for the next eight years.

CACREP accredits Master’s and doctoral degree programs in counseling and its specialties that are offered by colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world. Accreditation assures the quality of the education that students receive. It is a voluntary, non-governmental, peer-review process that occurs on a regular basis.

“This accreditation assures our students and prospective students of the quality of the CMHC program at Hodges
University,” said Dr. Mary Nuosce, Chair for the program. “Receiving this accreditation demonstrates our continued commitment to meeting the highest academic standards for our students.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for Mental Health Counselors will increase by 28% over the next ten years. For more information on the program, please call (239) 513-1122, or visit www.hodges.edu.
