Hodges to hold fundraiser for upcoming Diversity Festival

Time is running out to purchase tickets for the 1st annual "Party With A Purpose" fundraiser, a benefit for the annual Hodges University Diversity Festival in 2014.  The event slated for this Saturday, August 31st at Hodges University- Naples Campus, Science & Technology Building, from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
Hosted by Daniel and Barbara Melvin of Most Romantic Voice Productions, the event will feature a buffet dinner, live entertainment, cash bar, and live and Chinese auctions.  Master of Ceremony is NBC-2 Krista Fogelsong and auctioneer Rick Gallo.

Live auction items include trips to Lake Tahoe, New York City, Napa Valley and a luau for 100 people, sponsored by Russell’s Clambake.

Tickets are $50 each with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the 2014 Diversity Festival, now in its seventh year.  The Diversity Festival is part of the University’s commitment to promoting diversity and inclusiveness in Southwest Florida.

Sponsors to date include TLC Marketing & Creative Services, Artistic Science, Photography by David Michael, Sun Realty, Cadillac Vending and Wells Fargo and Taylor Rental of Naples.

"When you look at the world today, we have, to a great degree, shrunk," said Gail Williams, Chief Dieversity Officer at Hodges. "We don’t just look at our own community – it’s a global community. It’s so important we learn about one another and understand one another. We are just going to become even more diverse as time goes on. It’s critical we have respect and empathy for each other."
