A published paper authored by Dr. Aysegul Timur, Program Chair for the Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration programs at Hodges University, has been accepted by the International Health Economics Association for oral presentation at the 2012 European Conference on Health Economics (ECHE) to be held in Zürich in July.
The paper explores price differences in the European Union (EU) pharmaceutical market and concludes that the EU has come closer to achieving a single pharmaceutical market in response to increasing European Commission coordination efforts. Dr. Timur has worked on the project for over two years, along with colleagues from the University of South Florida and the University of Texas at Arlington.
“After all the hard work, I am very proud of this publication and accomplishment,” said Dr. Timur. “This journal is perceived as the international forum for economists covering high quality, analytical research on issues in health care finance and contributions that integrate theoretical and empirical work. I am deeply honored of their acceptance of my work.”
The 2012 European Conference on Health Economics seeks to sharpen public awareness of the significance of health economics for health policy, and to support development and research in health economics.
The paper was originally published in the International Journal of Health Care Finance and Economics, an international forum for economists covering high quality, analytical research on issues in health care finance.
