The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Stephania Silva the student of the month for December.
The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Ms. Silva was nominated for the award by Dr. Andrew W. Weyl, Director of the Masters of Legal Studies Program.
“Stephania Silva is a senior in the Bachelor program for Legal Studies,” said Dr. Weyl. “Stephania has been involved with Hodges University since her participation in the ESL Program and has nearly completed her four-year degree, which is itself a great accomplishment. She is a wife, mother of two active boys, employed full time, has been on the Dean's list, participates in the Legal Society and is always enthusiastic to help with whatever is asked of her. Throughout her time at Hodges she has been prompt with her homework; she studies hard and provides well-conceived, detailed answers to questions presented. Stephania is in some regards the perfect student: one who is excited to learn, who goes above the norm in her assignments, has a wonderful attitude, knows the importance of having a proper education, and has great respect for Hodges University. I am enthusiastic to nominate Stephania Silva as the December student of the month”
As the student of the month, Stephania will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for her portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
