The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named
Eva Wilson the student of the month for September.
The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Wilson was nominated for recognition by Dr. Nancey Wyant, Dean of the Johnson School of Business at Hodges.
“Eva is a working single parent who is also an exceptional student and has a wonderful attitude about higher education,” said Dean Wyant. “She believes that education is the path to a better life and that she is setting an example for her daughter to follow. As a student, she has greatly improved her writing and study skills over the year that I have worked with her. She takes her education seriously and earns all A’s. Her work is always submitted on time or early. When I think of Eva, I think of initiative and leadership. She uses her own time to encourage and mentor other students in the class and has been instrumental in encouraging several students to dig in, have better time management skills, and get their work in on time. Eva is truly a good representative for Hodges University.”
As student of the month, Eva Wilson will receive a recognition certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
