Hispanic Institute to welcome local leaders for civic engagement forum

The Hispanic Institute will host local civic leaders at an informational forum on civic engagement for the Hispanic community. The event is free and will be held on Thursday, October 11, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Hodges University’s Fort Myers campus, 4501 Colonial Blvd. 

Among the topics of discussion will be getting to know your public official; how public officials represent the community; how their role impacts our daily lives; and what the civic role of each citizen is.  The panelists on the Forum include Fort Myers Mayor Randy Henderson, Cape Coral Mayor John Sullivan, Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott and Fort Myers Councilman Kevin McGrail.
