11-8-01 Author, Himalayan Institute leader to speak at International College

Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D., spiritual leader of the Honesdale, Pa.-based Himalayan Institute, comes to Naples and International College in December as part of a 70-location nationwide lecture and book signing tour.

Since the tour began in September, Tiguanait has appeared at The Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta, the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. He’s also spoken at Cornell University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania and Ohio State University.

Tigunait, a regular contributor to Yoga International magazine and the author of eight books about meditation, spirituality and the Indian philosophy, has titled his talk, "Discovering the Sacred Link—The Way of the Himalayan Masters."

"The ‘sacred link’ we refer to is at the heart of yoga, meditation, spirituality and true healing," said Tigunait. "During this presentation, people will gather the tools and means to reconnect the fragmented parts of themselves and experience the joy of spiritual evolution and total well-being—the goal that all traditions share."

His presentation in Naples is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. at International College, at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Interstate 75. Pre-registration is requested. Admission is $15 in advance, $20 on the day of event. Call 1-800-822-4547 or visit the Web site, www.HimalayanInstitute.org.
