The Professional Development Center at Hodges University will host a free session on conflict management, Tuesday, November 13, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Hodges University Ft. Myers campus, 4501 Colonial Blvd.
Conflict is a part of life. It is impossible to live and work with others without having conflict at least from time to time. We all come from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and values and we are also diverse in our people skills and abilities to communicate. Since the world is becoming even more diverse each day, it is this diversity that is making conflict even more commonplace. According to studies, unresolved conflict is responsible for up to 65% of workplace performance problems. Managers today can spend more than 20% of their time handling workplace conflict.
From this workshop, participants will understand how conflict management and negotiation skills can be improved. Participants will learn not only how to improve personal skills over time; they will also learn strategies that they can immediately apply to manage conflict.
The event is free of charge, but a reservation is required. Please contact Mandy Goldenberg at 239-598-6143.
