PowerPoint is the perfect application for creating presentations, which can be used for work, teaching, or for fun. In this class, participants will start at the beginning and learn to use the Microsoft PowerPoint application. This class will cover the following topics: uses for PowerPoint slide shows, description of the PowerPoint window views and toolbars, selecting a design template, creating a title slide, changing text attributes such as font size and font style, adding a multi-level bulleted list slide, viewing a presentation in Slide Show view, changing line spacing and fonts on the slide master, reordering slides in Slide Sorter view, printing a presentation in black and white, creating a presentation from an outline, changing the slide layout and color scheme, inserting and formatting clip art, pictures from the Internet or other sources, inserting hyperlinks, and adding animation and slide transition effects. Participants should be comfortable using a mouse in a Windows environment, moving and resizing windows, and using Windows Explorer to copy, move, rename, delete, and organize files. This class is being taught using Microsoft Office 2010 software. Program Note: Please bring a USB (flash) drive with you to store class exercises.
