“Managing Confrontations and Conflicts”
Conflict occurs when individuals or groups are not obtaining what they need or want and seek their own self-interests. Often within volunteer-driven organizations, people push aside confrontation/conflict in the interest of harmony. This is not a solution and can endanger the effectiveness of the organization and its pursuits.
This workshop is based on the assumption that conflicts are a normal and healthy part of life. Since conflicts will occur, what is most important is how we understand, resolve, and learn from them. How to work through conflict and confrontations while maintaining positive relationships is key to the success of an organization and will be the focus of this workshop.
