Direct service from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to Caribbean/Latin America

Southwest Florida has been experiencing a demographic shift for some time and there has long been interest in direct airline service to the Caribbean/Latin America. The purpose of this study was to quantify the interest for direct service from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to Caribbean/Latin America.

The Hispanic population in Southwest Florida has been rapidly increasing for several years. This demographic shift prompted the collaboration and partnership between community leaders and Hodges University in the creation of the Hispanic Institute to address the concerns of this ever growing, rich segment of our population.

The Hispanic Institute is pleased to provide a comprehensive report of the Demographic and Economic Indicators of the Hispanic Communities in Lee and Collier Counties. This report serves to establish baseline data of the socioeconomic profile of the diverse Hispanic Communities in Lee and Collier County and to generate further inquiry.
