Hodges University Professor Receives Prestigious Award >

Hodges University’s Associate Professor of Business Administration, Dr. Aysegul Timur, was honored with a best presenter award at the recent Global Business & Economics Research Conference in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Timur’s report, “The Impact of the European Integration on the Pharmaceutical Industry,” was picked best out of the 50 presentations at the global event.
“It is an incredible honor to receive recognition at this prestigious global summit,” said Dr. Timur. “There were so many theoretical perspectives shared at the conference, I am very appreciative that my submission was chosen. As I tell my students in regard to their own research projects, ‘hard work really does pay off.’”
Her extensive and meaningful research also earned Dr. Timur the Hodges University “Dean’s Award for Scholarly Research.” The award, presented by Dr. Fred Nerone, founding dean of the Kenneth Oscar Johnson School of Business at Hodges, recognizes distinguished professors at the University who have presented significant research.
Her report was published in the summer, 2007 edition of “The Business Review, Cambridge.” Issued three times a year, the publication is the premier journal in the field of education in business.
