A health care administrator since 1980, Dr. Dolores Batiato joined Hodges University in 2004 as an adjunct faculty member in Health Administration. She brings to the classroom an extensive background in health care administration and management with a specific interest in directing and establishing facility start up, including administrative framework and administrative team development. She is also experienced as a consultant in areas of health care and business management. In 1979, she became a registered EMT, N.C.; in 1979, she became a nationally registered EMT; and in 2006, she received the National Leadership Award.
In 2011, she joined the Johnson School of Business, and in 2012, she accepted the position of chair of the Management department. Previously, she was the chair of Health Administration and associate dean of the School of Allied Health.
Her outside interests include reading, hiking the trails of North Carolina and spending time with the grandchildren.
