In the summer of 2015, Dr. Alex Figares joined Hodges University as an adjunct faculty member in Accounting. Currently, he is finishing his Master of Laws degree in taxation, and he is pursuing a degree in accounting and plans to sit for the CPA exam in 2016. He is a practicing attorney and has written several articles for publication.
Teaching since 2006, Figares’ research interests include tax policy, law and economics, and constitutional law. Most of all, he enjoys sharing his passion, knowledge and experience with students.
Outside of the classroom, he enjoys running, hiking and golfing.
