    Welcome from the Dean

It is my pleasure to welcome you as a student to Hodges University and to congratulate you on your decision to join the ranks of others who have chosen to complete their undergraduate or graduate education through our Fisher School of Technology (FSoT). You have made a decision that will play a significant role in shaping your personal and professional future and lead to an exciting career in technology or design and graphics.

The Fisher School of Technology offers a wide variety of programs in technology, information systems, digital design and graphics, and information and business analysis, but there are some shared characteristics that make Hodges the university of choice. Some of those attributes include the following:

    1. Students are individuals with names, not just numbers. Our classes are small, and students receive individual attention. The faculty and staff hold office hours and are readily available to meet with students in person or by phone, email and chat. Students who need help in getting up-to-speed with study or writing skills have services readily available.
    2. In addition to holding the appropriate academic credentials, the faculty are experienced practitioners who have worked or are working in their fields of expertise.
    3. Hodges offers a variety of flexible delivery methods designed to meet the needs of adult students. These include day and evening live, online, blended, and self-paced classes as well as internships where students gain real-world work experience. Some programs are accelerated to allow students to graduate sooner.
    4. The programs in the Fisher School of Technology are applied science programs with real-world instruction and labs designed to offer students real-world, applied knowledge in their field of study.

These are just a few of the attributes that make the Fisher School of Technology unique. I am sure you will enjoy your academic journey. I look forward to working with you in class and welcome you to stop by my office any time.

Additionally, O*NET OnLine lists 17 of the top 20 information technology occupations as Bright Outlook occupations.* These occupations are projected to grow rapidly in the next several years, will have large numbers of job openings, or are new and emerging occupations.
