English as a Second Language
The English as a Second Language (ESL) program offers English language immersion to non-native speakers of English who want to increase their fluency in a short period of time. This intensive program is designed to enhance students’ knowledge and use of English as well as their ability to integrate into an English-speaking culture.
ESL Courses:ENI 0100 Intensive English I (Beginning level)
ENI 0200 Intensive English II (Intermediate level)
ENI 0300 Intensive English III (Advanced level)
ENI 0400 College Preparatory English IV (Advanced+ level)
Each course covers a period of 15 weeks, and content includes grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation, and computer basics including Microsoft Office and Blackboard.
For students and professionals seeking to increase their academic knowledge of English, college preparedness, and/or TOEFL® preparation, Hodges University offers College Preparatory English IV. The fluency component of this course focuses on verbal skills and presentations, listening comprehension, and guided discussions on topics relating to academic and professional life. The academic component includes advanced grammar, vocabulary study, composition writing, and TOEFL®.
Students who meet attendance and coursework requirements receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Students who meet attendance and coursework requirements for ENI 0300 also receive a Certificate of Completion.

- Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must have legal status to live and/or study in the United States.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Financial Aid is available for students who qualify.
