    C3 is a new partnership between the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) at Hodges University and the Community Foundation of Collier County. The partnership is designed to help you build your organization’s capacity and benefit from local nonprofit experts in the field. The Community Foundation of Collier County provides grants for nonprofits to receive a short-term consultation in the areas of strategic planning, governance (board), and management and operations (fundraising, human resources, etc.). The CNE at Hodges University approves and updates the C3 Consultant profiles through an application process.

    If approved, the nonprofit will receive a $2,500 grant to be matched with $1,000 from the applicant. The total of $3,500 will be paid to engage a C3 Consultant upon agreement of a Scope of Work between the nonprofit and the consultant. Board members are encouraged to be fully engaged in the consultation.

    To apply for a C3 Consultant grant, the nonprofit organization should:

    1. Review application guidelines. Please contact Mary George at (239) 307-4514 to discuss if needed.
    2. Review the list of C3 Consultants below. Contact a C3 Consultant that matches your needs and set up an initial consultation.
    3. Meet with your chosen C3 Consultant to develop a 1-2 page written Scope of Work.  The Scope of Work should be provided by the C3 Consultant and must be submitted as an attachment with the grant application.
    4. In order to have the most impact, board members should be informed and willing to participate in the C3 Program. Please attach a signed Board Approval Form with the grant application.
